Urd is the oldest goddess in our divine trio. She is 26.
Urd is
very passionate about life, and for that matter, everything she does. She doesn't
think before resorting to lightning bolts (which by the way are her main weapon) or
hurting someone's feelings. Usually they are Keiichi's feelings.
Urd is
Belldandy's older sister. As the older sister, she is always butting in and trying
to help Keiichi and Belldandy advance in their relationship; this usually results in
disaster. e.g. Anime OAV #2 where Urd makes a potion for Keiichi to make a move on
whoever he sees next, only the person he sees next isn't Belldandy, but Sayoko...
If you
read the Manga, you will see how mean Urd is to just about everyone. She's not doing
it on purpose, but the bad thing is, she isn't good at apologizing either, so she never
fixes the messes she starts. For example, Skuld and Urd have a long lasting grudge
for some reason.
In
addition, Urd is obsessed with magic spell casting and potion making. Several times
she uses her magic for things that aren't necessary. Also, several times she gives
others potions or other concoctions to make them do something.
We do
see a side of her in OAV #5 that you might not see again. When Belldandy is recalled
to heaven, Urd seems to change and is bent on making it so Belldandy can stay. This
is her compassion for others. |
